Max Ramsey - P413 Catching Development

Season 4 Episode 1 is out with Max Ramsey. Max is currently a catching instructor at P413 located in Dayton, OH. P413 is becoming a very household name in Dayton, OH. P413 provides elite level baseball instruction for athletes of all age. P413 is known for having one of the only Top Velocity in-house pitching programs in the Midwest.

efore working at P413, Max played college baseball at Wilmington college located in Wilmington, OH. Max is also apart of the coaching staff for Canes Ohio organization. Max is a player who was grown through the organization. Max talks about what the canes organization means to him. He explains that its not just about developing players but its teaching players about life and how to continue the growth mind set.

Max and I go in-depth talking about catching philosophy and how to implement a good system into an organization. Max talks about how with younger ages today, coaches can be so concerned about results rather than a steady progression of learning the position and their body.

We also talked about the overall state of catching in 2022. Receiving is becoming so important in todays game more than it ever has been. Analytics are taking over and truly analyzing who is being the most efficient behind that plate.
