Episode 13 season 3 is out with Kyle Brennan. Kyle is a performance coach with the Houston Astros that has a concentration with strength/conditioning and catching. For the 2022 season, Kyle will be working the Houston Astros Double – A affiliate Corpus Christi Hooks.

Before working for the Houston Astros, Kyle played baseball at the University of Buffalo and started for 3 ½ years. In 2017 Kyle, was named to the Johnny Bench Award Watchlist. After college, Kyle didn’t go directly into baseball but decided to work as an EMT. During, this time Kyle started up his catching machine performance page. He decided to post to this page when he had off time during his job in the truck during the EMT.

Kyle decided to go full time working in baseball and S/C. He coached two seasons with CatcherMTRX, the Long Island Titans and Ward Melville High School. Kyle went on to pass his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Program) and obtained Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms).

Kyle talks about what its like to work in professional baseball and it is changing every year. Being a professional coach, you need a wide arrange of skills to become successful. Kyle talks about what he is currently working to learn and what makes him standout from other coaches. Kyle mentions technology and data about how important it towards player development during 2021.

Kyle has a bright future in professional baseball and shows that he is constantly learning to become a better coach. Kyle is a big advocate of not letting social media affecting his mentality towards his personal life or his coaching style. I am really looking forward to see how 2022 goes for Kyle and how many players he will reach this season.
