Dan Sarmiento - Host of "The Show Podcast" & Social Media Athlete

Season 4 Episode 18 is out with Dan Sarmiento or DSARM. Dan is a social media influencer athlete who will be attending Azusa Pacific University to play college baseball. Dan is known for vlogging in the baseball realm but has recently started a podcast called “The Show” with his friend Joe Norris. They were recently sponsored by @thebsblr

Dan talks about his start in social media and his love for videography. He talks about how he has been filming since he was a kid and is fascinated by how video can truly show a story about one’s life through a lens.

Dan explains what is takes to become an athlete vlogger and now podcaster with consistently producing content regularly while keeping viewer retention high. Becoming a vlogger can happen overnight but it is a true process and a storytelling skill to keep content consistently flowing.

Dan goes onto talk about his current podcast style on social media. He explains why he cuts down his podcasts to a shorter time and how this is becoming a style of podcasting through social media. Dan explains how each platform really works form YouTube to TikTok and how different their roles really are towards viewership & retention rate.

There currently is not a lot of information out there to explain how to properly promote yourself as an athlete and how to keep your viewership consistently flowing/engaging. Dan does tremendous job thoroughly explaining his process and what you should expect promoting yourself! Please enjoy listening to him and follow him on all socials @DSARMYT.
